So I was emailed a warning about a image I submitted in the Hentai Quotes gallery, which was apparently taken down.

The warning said that a hentai's cover page is of questionable relevance to the Hentai Quotes gallery… and yet, while it is a cover page, it also serves as the first page of the subject itself, similar to the background pages that precede the… "action" in other hentais, and contains dialogue which serves to set up the scenario; thus, how is it not relevant to the Hentai Quotes gallery, being a quote from a hentai?
The warning also said linking to pages with NC content is prohibited; however, the link I provided was a link to the hentai itself, which would obviously contain pornographic content, but also gives credit to the artist by providing the source material. This practice is also commonplace in the Hentai Quotes gallery, so why was my image singled out for doing so?

"The image is a page from a hentai, the cover page. The hentai quotes gallery is about singled out quotes from a doujin, not entire pages. The source you posted didn’t have a warning, and with it being the cover, if a person wanted a source all they had to do was google the title of the doujin."

Hentai Quotes are absurd and humorous quotes and phrases taken from scenes in hentai or doujin manga.

What you posted is not an absurd/humorous quote. It's just a regular old hentai cover with nothing quotable on it, so it doesn't belong in the gallery

I dunno, I kinda thought the setup an epic battle in a colosseum over the age-old rivalry between T and A was absurd enough to warrant submission, and the 50ish likes the image received made me suppose people found it humorous, though I understand if it's overdone and that it's tame in regards to the potential absurdity of hentai. And I guess it's not really a "quote" if it's an entire page.

Sorry for making you post it twice, I'm still kinda new here and when I saw this forum I thought my post was too off-topic for the other thread. And yes, I suppose entire pages are a tad too much to be "quotes", though in regards to my posting the source, as I stated before, it's an image in the Hentai Quotes gallery. Unless it's stated that it's not really a hentai, I'm pretty sure it should be rather obvious that the source material would be NSFW. In fact, most submissions in the Hentai Quotes gallery contain links to their sources without the NSFW label and face no issues regarding it. Although I guess it is rather unnecessary to post a link when the title is right there and is a distinctive title, though it's also more convenient for the viewer if they can just click a link rather than having to search for it.

I guess we just see things differently. As far as I'm concerned, the premise isn't really that absurd at all. Quite the sort of thing I would expect from porn, really.

In fact it's the opposite of absurd. It actually sounds like a really cool and fun pretense for creative erotica. I'd say it's a good idea for a porn premise.

But we're not looking for good idea's. We're looking for bad ones. Bad, nonsensical, ridiculous, poorly written, badly translated, sub-par porn dialog. That's what Hentai Quotes is all about.

And besides, as I said: hentai quotes is about quotes, not entire story subjects which have enough creative freedom to be as silly as they want

Half the point of Hentai Quotes is that they're supposed to lack context.

Tits are just fake asses. If I had to pick between an imitation or the real thing I'd pick the real thing any day !
