I've noticed a lot of political and or Nazi/Hitler-related content in the trending images tab. What is happening? Is KYM a Nazi site now?

It's probably just the usual cunts from the National Front or something and their sockpuppets

I just hope the admins act before their site looks bad

I've seen the rise of alt-right overtaking the spotlight of many sites, KYM has been one of them

Gamergate or not, we'd still get these people shitting up the images. Alll we need with or without infestations is some \pol\yp getting salty because some users didn't agree with them or we didn't like the 1000th unfunny wojak soyboy. That said, inb4 they decide to upload more trash as part of some image-spamming raid they got.

Best thing to do for now is harden up and pay it no mind. They have less of an agenda than you think. Getting offended by it only makes them giggle to each other. They're not here to push all non-whites off the site (though they'd prefer that). They're not here to convert you to national socialism (though they'd want that).They're not here to make everyone think of Americans as nothing more than subhuman nigger mutts (though they certainly think that). They're not here to brainwash you into liking tribalistic racial domination/extinction fetishism (though they cum to that and be glad to see you join their circlejerk).

The most I can see Goobergate having to do with this little series of /pol/ microdumps is that the people involved were wee underage newfags when they learned about 4chan and later /pol/ because of the sheer publicity of Gumberbumber, and they wound up sticking with /pol/ for increasingly independent reasons. Besides, most people are sick of Globbergloop being blamed for literally everything under the sun that doesn't align with the (elite) left. See the Wallstreetbets gallery and how everyone is taking the piss out of media moguls proclaiming their billions draining from their pockets is the fault of le alt right goobergate boogeyman. Much as one could think the downvotes are because of someone being pro-GG or because of some sense of denial or whatever it is, you pretty much hit it. GopherGrapes has little to do with this imagery spam and much as one think not having it would of avoided the chuds, we'd still get said chuds because other things popped up besides just some hashtag. We'd still be getting Trump fanboys and the like taking "Godemperor Trump" images and the like seriously even if we didn't have Vivian James being spammed. Indeed, but perhaps what people are really pissed about is not you holding these stances but more the fact that these stances are usually paired with an apathy to the alt right inserting itself into the same discourse (via jokes or memes) to later promote and normalize its ideas. Especially since the alt right is as much about identity politics as SJWs, if not more.

The fact that there's no broad acknowledgement of this issue is probably why most people outside this website, a few subreddits and 4chan/8chan have negative views on GamerGate, and more broadly, of any discourse that criticizes the modern left. They see GamerGate and the likes as tools for spreading a radical right-wing discourse rather than as apolitical phenomenons (which GG was, at first) – and it's true to some extent.

I used to be an anti-sjw, but I left it behind some time around 2017. The movement, in my eyes, had basically been co-opted by the right by that point and I also realized that a lot of its more prominent members were kinda full of shit. Hell, even former prominent members like Shoeonhead have realized how pointless the anti-sjw movement was. Are sjw's obnoxious? Yes. Do they represent an actual threat to society? No. No SJW ever shot up a church or a mosque because it had too many Black people or Arabs in it. No SJW ever tried to bomb a building or some shit like that. The extreme right actually like, kills people. The worst the extreme left will do is try to cancel someone or throw a milkshake at them.

And I know they claimed that GG was about ethics in games journalism. But to me it just seemed like an extension of the anti-sjw movement. Considering it was made up of the same people, who often talked about the same things and had similar targets as the anti-sjw movement. It should be worth noting that I was actually on board with gamergate for like, the first 2 weeks of it before I began to realize all of that.

For me, gamergate was when that right wing entryism really started to take place. I was an anti-sjw because, as a left winger (center left at the time, but still left) I hated how they would accuse anyone of bigotry just because of a difference of opinion. And then anti-sjw's started cozying up to people like Milo, an actual bigot. That didn't sit well with me. Plus they took themselves way too seriously, to the point where it was cringy. Even before I stopped calling myself an anti-sjw I thought it was cringy. If you go back far enough in the forums you can find a thread I made where me and a bunch of other users mocked the gamergate members of the site.

I do believe one can be pro-gg/anti-sjw and still be left wing. Thats what I used to be, so obviously its possible. But it can't be denied that many, many anti-sjw's are just right wingers. I'd go so far as to say most are at this point, which is why I tend to avoid the label and associating with it. I still think sjw's are annoying as fuck. I just don't see them as a legit threat.

KYM has always had a love for nazis (look up Hyperborea Odyssea Hackeron or HoH for short) for some reason. Like it's fine to post pro nazi propaganda because most people see it as "Oh, he's just being edgy" or "oh, he's just trolling" and tbh most people (including the mods and admins here) don't know shit about true white supremacists and the influence they have recruiting young dumb shits on the internet. I would say yes this trend in pro nazi images is most likely just edgy twats looking to show others how edgy they are. Probably some kid linked it to show his online friends "herr durr look at me being racist".

As for "is KYM a nazi site now?" Well originally this site was about the study and documentation of memes and most memes started on 4chan. A lot of those memes were racist like gigga nigga and that's always been ok here because even though it's racist it's still a meme and KYM's sponsors are a-okay with racism.

I wouldn't say KYM's sponsors are a-okay with racism, they just aren't aware of it.

Far as this site does go, it would at some point have to note about memes that were racist such as the ones you mentioned. It is very likely that far as the images go, it really would just be someone being an edgelord who thinks it's funny posting some meme to go "herr durr look at me being racist" though we may get someone whose salty enough at this site they wanted to use something to raid or get back at with.

Also a quick note on HoH being a nazi. For those who don't know, and I know this will be questionable because my info came from Kiwi Farms, a lolcow forum that ended up becoming infected with rightoids, but HoH gotten her own thread there due to being a member who got arrested for failing to carry out a mass shooting. To tl;dr her thread, her postings on this site involved stuff like Varg Vikernes, a white supremacist who burned down a church, and noting of forum post on Cracked where she edgy dreams of killing minorities and worshiping Varg. So to say as far as Nazi imagery goes, this site actually has had it for a while, even if it was at least from one person. Only reason we may not know of it is because it is, at the time of this post, been buried deep since it was on here 9 years ago.

Far as awareness goes, I wouldn't be surprised if one reason for it was from imagery and entries being around before we had advertisers caring more over content but they wouldn't look further back to say 2011.

it seems like that same ratio of likes and favorites is in common among quite alot of the trending pol images, so he might not be the one responsible, though they seem to be the main account getting the bot likes

There are several other '/pol/-ish" users out there, but none of them (statue345, Our DeerLeader, etc) have the same amount of likes going on with literally every single upload, so it wouldn't be wise to think of anyone posting right-leaning material as members of this particular cabal.

Thiccloli and BringBackPomf are both Finnish, and they've brought some of their friends to help inflate the upvote count for everyone in their discord, though none of them comment. You can see one of these burner accounts commenting once in one of BringBackPomf's images here . Notice the commentator only joined three months ago – just in time for the upvote begging. Go to the amerimutt gallery – you'll notice that everything posted prior to that period was either ignored or downvoted. After Anglo and his discord kids started begging upvotes from each other, the subsequent uploads got more traffic. Look at the comments section – you know no one here likes that garbage, yet it still goes trending because our microdicked teenage friends want to preach to us, and they know they'll get drowned out if they don't circlejerk each other to the top of trending.
