Some Sort of Censorship...?

I'm not saying we should get rid of any picture that isn't G-rated, but if there were ever to be any images uploaded that had porn or shock images, maybe we could put something like DeviantArt has over there images? The little grey ⨸ ?

Exactly. I hate how on some other sites similar to this you catch things like hello.jpg and Tubgirl randomly without warning.

@Goomba, do you have a link to an example how DeviantArt does this? Imagine it'd need to work in these forums & on meme entries… will tack it onto the roadmap

Um, there's usually atleast one Daily Deviation with the censorship: http://today.deviantart.com/dds/

They cover up the image with white and a little warning sign, saying why it's innapropiate, and then asking if you still want to view it.

def good idea goomba! will add to roadmap, but will take a little work.

would be great to have NSFW images covered up by default (safe mode), but allow a user to have a setting to always show NSFW images. this will also require some sort of reporting feature so that users can help our moderators cover up these images.

what would be considered worthy of coverup? open to suggestions! thoughts include: nudity, extreme grossness, image's with text profanity (motivationals, comics, etc)

also, is NSFW (not safe for work) the best description for this, or does someone else have a suggestion for a proper title (e.g. Inappropriate, etc)?

NSFW is funny, but probably not relevant to a lot of users… Maybe, IFYV, Innapropriate for Younger Viewers? I don't know. Something along the lines of that.

You mean, when you click on the image, a warning appears: “Not Suitable for Children and/or Quakers, please proceed at your own risk”. That has got a point

And here's a response to Hello.jpg from TF2 Team.
