I first tried visiting a couple hours ago only to get a 500 server error on all pages. If people were talking about this on the Discord, I don't know because I don't use it, but I saw some people on Twitter mention it too. I finally managed to come back on in the last hour, but upon investigating comments and images, it appears this outage lasted for about 8 hours.
Comments and images are easy to access since their URL's simply count chronologically upward. Normally, at least one of each is posted every few minutes. However, comment #5,818,129 (03:20AM EDT) was posted 8 hours before the next comment #5,818,130 (11:58AM EDT). Images weren't as easy to look through since the KYM Collector Bot Reddit Moments, which mirrors Reddit images, was still operating in this time, but it looks like this image [spoiler warning] (03:25AM EDT) was the last human-posted one before this image [NSFW warning] (12:01PM EDT) was posted, again, 8 hours later.
So what was going on? And more importantly, why did the bot have the privilege of server access while no one else did?
