Also to you which should society value more? I personally can't really tell you.

Since I enjoy arguing a lot and will argue just about anything, I enjoy a good challenge alright.

To become happy and comfortable through challenge and improvement. Obviously.

I understand challenge and improvement are virtues and I'll strive for them anyway for that reason, but tbqh I'd be pretty satisfied with a calm and happy life. However, perhaps I'll change my mind on that in the future, don't jinx me quite yet fate.

If I'm happy and comfortable then I can enjoy being challenged otherwise it would feel like a chore. So happy and comfortable first.

A bit of both.

Ultimately, I think, a person who is never challenged will end up unhappy and uncomfortable. Things change and the practice of changing with them is a necessary challenge.

I think that is one reason some people find the post apocalypse so attractive. It would be an endless source of challenge, for better or for worse.

I prefer a healthy balance of both.

This. Having challenge and improving with being happy and comfortable is a good balance. Not having challenge and improvement only means stagnation. Not having comfort and happiness only means irritation, among other things that comes with the lack happiness and comfort.

I have a bit of trouble getting out of my comfort zone myself, but I think it's good to try new things, have your views challenged, face other types of challenges, etc.

I think there is a place for comfort definetly, I think if we only challenged ourselves we'd live pretty stressful lives, but there must come a day where you must do so, otherwise your life will probably be shittier having not done so.

To Quote Lorenzo from A Bronx Tale, the saddest thing in life is wasted talent. you'll probably be a lot more miserable if you just didn't do anything with your life because you only wanted comfort with the things you usually do than if you got stressed out from hearing an idea you didn't like.

the latter will probably make you a better & smarter person, but the former tends to turn people into at best, safe spacers, & at worst basement dwellers and even worse people like chris chandler.
