This has probably been asked thousands of times, but if someone makes a blank meme(or a duplicate) can't someone delete it?

We can.
But a deadpooled meme serves as a reference that should deter people from resubmitting the same non-meme.

I like your thinking.
Plus, if you later decide it shouldn't be in deadpool…(not that many of them warrent that privilage)
Oh yeah. We've rescued plenty of memes from the deadpool after finding new information.
@ chris, yeah, but what about those whom we know are trolls like the one with the thumb of the fatkid wearing springy eyes?
I get a kick out of horribly bad attempts and think they're worth showcasing in their own section.
they are pretty bad
Well, I'm not saying all deadpools should be deleted, just blank memes and duplicates.
We learn a lot from the Deadpool.
If many duplicates appear one after another, it may signify that either there is a big important phenomenon that warrants lots of attention, or that there is some coordinated effort to force a meme. Both of these scenarios have occurred in the past, and deleting duplicates would erase any record of that.
Duplicates that are posted long after an entry has already been submitted teach us that new users are not acquainted with how to use the site, which motivates us to improve the user experience.
Sifting through the deadpool is like studying a stool-sample. It smells like shit, but it reveals information about the site's health.
