Is there anything stopping us from having .gifs as avatars? If not, woudn't be cool if we Could have .gifs as a supported file for avatars?

i am in favor of this idea. my personal collection of GIF files could definitely use a place to shine. but i don't know how this would affect the site's loading time, performance, etc. i hear you though :|

I would rather have signatures than animated avatars, but okay.

well either one is good, in retrospect would sigs be betteR?

As long as the sigs arnt wallpaper sized then itll be better.

I don't know about signatures, plenty of people abuse those. Make them 30 pages long, etc

yeah, like have a pic size cap on it?

I'm not sure why animated gifs don't work. I've filed this as a bug
