So pretty much every game since they've existed as a medium pretty much, and some of them can be very very cool. So post your favorites for the memories, the visuals, the music, or maybe all 3.

I actually never got to play the original Metroid Prime 2 (I play it through the trilogy which has a cool title screen itself) but I have seen the title screen and heard the music and it's fantastic. The visuals only last about 15 seconds or so before the screen goes mostly still but it looks very very cool. The main reason I love this one so much though is the music, probably one of my favorite VGMs of all time and what the title screen combined with the song do perfectly is basically tell you everything you need to know about the game before playing it. The way the music feels basically sums up the whole experience and it gives me chills every time.

My next would be Xenoblade. This is arguably one the most well designed title screens ever even if you've never played the game. The whole 4 minutes of it is constantly shifting and the music actually fits it perfectly. I watched the whole time first time I laid my eyes on it and have a few times actually. The graphics for Xenoblade aren't even very good by any standards but it's still one of the most beautiful things I've seen in a game. The only way to understand is to watch it, trust me it's worth it. Goosebumps everywhere.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors is one of my absolute favorites. The second you see the title dissolve into itself, the campy and fun horror music playing, and the hypnotizing background go into effect, you know you're in for a ride that's as good as the free candy you get on Halloween.

Grabbed by the Ghoulies while being very similar in tone to the campy horror of Zombies Ate My Neighbors, offers a more cartoony opening with monsters that make goofy laughs, references to past rare titles, and the title being repeated by a chorus while over the top horror music is playing. While there are several amazing Rare title screens, this one just appeals to me, mainly again for the cartoony horror atmosphere that gets displayed from the minute you start.

I loved all the Smash Bros title screens, but Melee is probably my favorite one.

This makes my snake solid, Ground Zero is a beautiful game and the title screen is even better. ignore that weird lets player signature

I like both Hotline Miami's, but the first one has the better title with the Russian at the top.

I was always very fond of Star Fox 64's title screen featuring the entire Star Fox crew in then-glorious 3D polygonal graphics, and of course you could mess with the models by moving the "64" around and the models would all look at it as it moved (for those of you in PAL regions who got the game as "Lylat Wars" I'm not sure what moved for you guys). Plus that music.

I'm hoping Star Fox Zero will feature a similar title screen given it is a reboot that's borrowing elements from SF64 (like maybe the "Zero" can be moved with the GamePad's gyro controls, if they're turned on that is, Miyamoto confirmed you can turn gyro controls off).

Twisted Metal: Black. Seconds before Sweet Tooth's face stares at you, frozen frames capture the exact moment of the nature of this car combat tournament: a city's tranquility suddenly turning into chaos.

Turok: Evolution. This title screen, besides watching the many creatures and dinosaurs passing by or minding their business, has a unique function: a minigame where you can shoot anything that crosses the screen. In order to use it, it will require the cheat code "Hunter".
