The nomines for the Game Awards 2021 have arrived! A lot of nominations for Deathloop, Psychonauts 2, and Resident Evil: Village on the ballot. Personally vying for Dread to take the GOTY but I'm expecting another Sony sweep after last year.

At least this one is slightly more based than usual by including Psychonauts 2

I don't care for awards and the like, but I wonder how much of the voting group have actually played all of the nominees for each category instead of just picking from the ones they've played and liked simply because they liked it and have no other basis for judgment.

I just want to know if Altus will have the fucking decency to release Persona 5 on PC before, during or after the Game Awards…

Some updates:

- Sonic 2 move trailer to premiere during the awards
- Xbox to premiere 4 day 1 game pass releases
- "Around 4-5 Elden Ring-sized reveals" according to Keighley, first 30-45 minutes will be "intense"
- Over half of the show will be new announcements

As someone who's mainly interested in the reveals coming out I'm fairly excited.

Whelp, is not Persona 5. On the other hand I'm glad this game finally come out in PC, but given we're talking about Altus, this game will not have an good online netcode…

SPACE MARINE 2! Hell yeah, Captain Tidus is back! I was hoping for a Dark Tide update but this is good too. So far that, Alan Wake 2, and Cuphead’s DLC finally getting a date are the highlights (but also I’m so glad Nier did not get robbed on “best music” because I would have raged if it didn’t win that category).

Just like every other soulless, corporate, politically pandering, commercialized, celebrity pushing, "content creator" paid sack of garbage that has passed as a video game exposition for the past decade. The only things worthy of note were Sonic's trailer, Warhammer, and Metroid getting an award, and I'm not even a big Warhammer fan. Maybe plague tale too. Every other second of this show was agonizing.

That aside Space Marine 2! Space book says this is good!
