It's a nice idea but not something people wanna have to pay for. Nobody needs to shell out cash just to have an avatar on a fake concert stage where people usually don't play the music you like. It's great for sharing videos but probably never could muster a community spirit

And trying to put a paywall on something people enjoyed for free was surely the final nail in the coffin. moves like that piss people off and drive them away from what little userbase plug.dj already had

I ain't need those damn distractive dogs or dancing avatars to enjoy music tbh. Instasynch were always enough for this kind of shit.
In short: it sure was quite rad, but features were still unnecessary. Thats why it died.
