Origin: On July 26, 2007, Bobomb99 of YouTube uploaded "DIS IZ ILEGHUL YOO NOH." to YouTube. With the description "a youtube poop in progress", it was a simple YTP consisting of "This is illegal, you know." repeated multiple times multiple ways.
The YTP only had 16,000 views, but spawned plenty of other videos done in a similar manner, where a pooper takes a poopable phrase and repeats it different ways, with a title spelled phonetically, and many times, " a youtube poop in progress" as the description. The most popular video has over 235,000 views.
