A113 (sometimes A-113, A1-13 or A11-3) is an in joke in the film and animation industry first used as a license plate number in the "Family Dog" episode of Amazing Stories. It has appeared in Disney movies, episodes of the long running american animated sitcom __The Simpsons and almost every Pixar movie. It references the classroom of the same name in the California Institute of the Arts (or CAL Arts for short) that is currently used as the first-year graphic design studio.
