About

Ariopose (Aryan Pose) refers to various edits, parodies and fan art inspired by a photo of the Mexican YouTuber and lolcow Doomentio in which he and two other people are making weird poses on a street. This image grew popular on the Spanish-speaking internet, and various parodies have surfaced showing different fictional characters in the poses. It is likely the most well-known picture of Doomentio.

Origin

On an unknown date before the year 2018, Haru, a friend of Doomentio, uploaded an image in which he, Doom and Oveja were supposedly making JoJo Poses. [1] This image was widely mocked and was dubbed as the "Ariopose" (Aryan Pose) [2], becoming the subject of various edits, including another popular meme of Doomentio known as "Dum Chikito" (Small Dum). Different images of various people apparently doing the same pose have later surfaced online.

Spread

After 2018, numerous edits, parodies and fan art of the original picture surfaced online. For example, on July 16th, 2019, the Facebook page of the artist Soul Rainbow [4] posted art that featured animated characters (shown below, left). On September 19th, 2021, Facebook user Mannyakko [5] recreated the picture using characters from Hilda: The Series, gaining over 120 likes and reactions in one year (shown below, right).
