The Bukit Batok Manhole Explosion is an incident that occurred on the 24th of August in 2021 when a telco manhole exploded. Since the date, multiple memes related to the incident popped up in the internet involving fictional heroes and politicians.

Origin
On the 24th of August, 2021, a telco manhole near a carpark near Block 439 Bukit Batok West exploded when there were cars on the road near it. Fortunately, no one was injured or killed and it was believed to be an accident.

On the same day of the incident, Facebook user, Adzri Aziz, posted a meme with 2 images of the incident. One of them showed the aftermath of the manhole explosion and referred to as "Bukit Batok", the other one is the same image with Thor on it and referred to as "Bukit Bathor"

Another facebook user, Dell Chapo, posted an image with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hiding under the exploded manhole, peeping into Bukit Batok.
