Eggette ;it was conceived by turning Dr Eggman/Robotnik's ship into a face. The meme has become a running joke in gaming related board on 4chan , where he's treated as "the savior of vidya"

Origin

On September 3rd 2011,user GT Koopa posted the image featuring the character on SonicRetro Forums, where he claims he posted on /v/ with the caption "cannot unsee" and gained over 200 replies.
