Origins
On March 3rd, 2020, Instagram user @musicbyfreida posted a video of herself singing to Dion. Dion waits patiently for the singer to finish and then extends her arm for a fistbump and says, "Thank you for singing for me." The post received more than 147,000 views and 10,000 likes in less than three days (shown below).
Spread
That day, Twitter account @teamxceline tweeted a shortened clip of the video, removing the moment of gratitude from Dion. They captioned the post, "Crying." Within two days, the post received more than 9.1 million views, 50,000 likes and 12,000 retweets (shown below).

On March 4th, Twitter user @IllumiReptilien tweeted the video with the caption "Trop choqué par l'attitude de Céline !" Within 24 hours, the tweet received more than 5million views, 77,000 likes and 25,000 retweets (shown below).
