"Crazy Niga 2" is the nickname given to a sped-up, distorted version of a song played on the piano by rapper Blueface in a 2020 video. The video, which shows Blueface casually playing the piano, was sped-up and given the name "Crazy Niga 2" as early as November 2021, when Instagramuser shitpost.bull posted a meme using the video. Memes referencing "Crazy Niga 2" became increasingly popular over the following years, seeing a notable boost in popularity in March 2025.

Origin

On June 19th, 2020, YouTuber^[1] ALL URBAN CENTRAL uploaded a video consisting of several clips of rapper Blueface playing the piano, titled, "Blueface Piano Skills Are INSANE Makes A Song Effortlessly 😂," garnering over 23,000 views in five years.

On November 9th, 2021, Instagram^[2] user shitpost.bull posted an edit of the first clips of the video in which the content has been sped-up and distorted, followed by more clips of people dancing and playing the piano and advertising the song "Crazy Niga 2" as a ringtone, garnering over 4,000 likes in four years.

Spread

The meme began to spread over the following years. On June 29th, 2022, YouTuber^[3] Markquitos reposted the meme, garnering over 60,000 views in three years. On January 22nd, 2025, Instagram^[4] user oid_smoker posted a version of the meme with added top text reading, "Songs To Listen To When You Are In A Late Night Drive," garnering over 2,400 likes in two months.
