About

Derrick (Jackson) Jaxn, is a popular social media relationship guru. He often gives advice on how to create and keep healthy relationships, specifically within the Black community. Jaxn has 1.3 million Instagram followers and often post instagram stories, posts, and lives pertaining to maintaining healthy lines of communication, sacrifice, love and other topics within the realm of relationships. He recently came under fire when he was caught cheating on his wife, Da’Naia Jackson. He took to Instagram and, in a live video alongside his wife, admitted to cheating with multiple women. In the Instagram live, Jaxn apologizes to his wife and his followers for his infidelity. The video, while a serious matter between Jaxn and Da'Naia, was turned into a joke on social media. Memes poking fun at the couple's rocking and not so perfect relationship was spread through a series of memes after the Live was posted on Jaxn's Instagram Page in March of 2021. The first meme to hit the scene was created by Twitter user @DatGuy_DeMike. On March 22, 2021, he shared a photo of the couple with the caption, "Like we rehearsed." This is aimed at the idea that Jaxn talked his wife into the Instagram Live to show a united front as a couple despite Da'Naia's possible true feelings on the matter. From the 22rd of March, for a couple of weeks, while the incident was still relevant, the meme and variations of that meme spread throughout social media platforms. A person can use the meme as a way to show sarcasm, irony, or something or someone that comes off as being fake.
