About
The Dick Appointment Challenge refers to a social game in which participants share a text message exchange about scheduling sexual congress between them and their significant other or person that they are romantically involved. In the text, they refer to sex as a "dick appointment."
Origin
On May 28th, 2019, Twitter [1] user @kennielaine tweeted, "I text my man 'hello id like to make a dick appointment, what do you have available?' like every day" The tweet received more than 365 likes in about two weeks (shown below).
That day, Twitter[2] user @baby_b0nes tweeted, "text ur significant other asking what dick appointments they have available and reply to this post with their responses." Additionally, they shared a screenshot of their exchange (shown below). The post received mroe than 53,000 likes and 7,600 retweets in about two weeks.
Spread
Following the post, people began sharing images of their exchanges with their significant others. Twitter[3] user @jessismiles__ tweeted an exchange in which the recipient said there are no available openings. The post received more than 14,000 likes and 1,000 retweets in less than two weeks (shown below, left). Twitter[4] user @ivysalazr tweeted a variation in which the recipient writes, "you've already had 3 in the past 48 hours." The post received more than 13,000 likes and 1,200 retweets in two weeks (shown below, center).
Over the next two days, others shared in the challenge (example below, right).
