About

Dirty Potter is a series of audio-based YouTube Poops created by Marley Feck[1] consisting of the voice of British celebrity personality Jim Dale, as heard in the Harry Potter audiobooks (and later, other sources narrated by Dale as well), extensively edited and otherwise manipulated to say all manner of obscene and offensive things, mainly graphic accounts of the Harry Potter cast and other characters continually engaging in sexually deviant activities.

Origin

The currently existing YouTube upload of the first chapter of the original Dirty Potter trilogy, named after the "Snape kills Dumbledore" meme, dates back to February 26, 2010, but it is not the original, since-removed upload, whose exact date of origin is unknown. This current upload has since gained over 91,000 views (shown below) and has also been posted, along with the subsequent rest of the series, to the website Dirtypotter.com.[2]

Spread

Shortly after the original upload, the episode was mentioned in the forum Bungie.net.[4] Feck uploaded several more videos in which he edited Dale's voice so that it sounds as though he's reading offensive things. After he completed his original Harry Potter trilogy, Feck uploaded the "Dirty Peter Pan and the Long, Black Penis of Evil," then the "Dirty the Pooh" trilogy, which culminates in the titular character unleashing a horrific Satanic apocalypse, and finally the second official Harry Potter-based trilogy, "Fuckbeak and Friends."[2] He has also edited Barack Obama's book The Audacity of Hope in a similar manner. The Dirty Potter series has been extensively documented on TV Tropes. [3] There is also an Urban Dictionary page[5] on the series, as well as a Wikia[6] for the series.
