The George Zimmerman Trial Raid was a systematic Skype call raid that occured on 2012, where members from 4chan spammed skype calls during the time when someone was interviewing a witness via Skype.
Origin
On February 26, 2012, George Zimmerman shot 17 year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida. Charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter, he was sent to court where his trial began on June 10, 2013.
Spread
During a Skype call for a witness, users from /b/ and /pol/ began to call in to the defender's skype account and ended up halting the progress of the testimony. After this happened, the trial then used a different call line, but not before many people around the world saw what had happened. Meanwhile, on 4chan, people celebrated the successful raid.
