Origin event:

On the 6th of February 2012 a group of people drove onto the ice of the frozen lake Balaton in Hungary, with two Hummer H2 vehicles. As the ice wasn't thick enough to support the weight of the SUVs, the Hummers got sunk in the lake, and later had to be towed out. The event gained a huge media attention due to it's mere hilariousness and by strengthening the stereotype of: "Rich people don't know what to do with themselves"
