in reply to Smol Nozomi

I really hate this picture. I used to to teach English in South Korea, and I lived in a small city called Ansan. About a month or two after I left, the Sewol ferry capsized, killing a bunch of passengers, including a class of Ansan High School students. Of course, they all had cell phones. They used to them to say goodbye to their loved ones. So I really hate this comic. It tries to imply that phones make us shallow and self-absorbed, and that people would be oblivious during a disaster. I'm not trying to shit on you, Smol Nozomi, and I hope you don't get down voted for this. I'm just trying to give a little counterpoint to the image. Point out that technology isn't always bad and people aren't always stupid.
