Every Day Is Leg Day refers to a series of TikTok videos in which users show off their long legs or the illusion of long legs to Lucian Piane's song "Legs" featured on season eight of RuPaul's Drag Race .

Origin

On May 16th, 2016, Naomi Smalls performed to the song "Legs" by Lucian Piane on the season eight finale of RuPaul's Drag[1] race (shown below). A clip of the sound was uploaded to TikTok in early April 2019 and used in over 280,700 videos in a month.



Although the first video made using the song is unknown, TikTok user @basofficial uploaded an early iteration that accumulated 235,100 likes and 9,100 shares in 15 days (shown below).

Spread

On April 5th, @Moto moto felesége uploaded their own sound clip replacing "legs" with "fat" (shown below, left). The video gained 34,200 likes and 912 shares in 14 days. The sound clip was used in over 11,900 videos in the next few days. For example, TikTok user @mudormood uploaded a video using the sound clip showing off their belly which gained 18,200 likes in a week (shown below, right).

On April 7th, @rybrom uploaded a popular rendition which features them on another person's shoulders creating the illusion of being tall (shown below, left). The video gained over 294,700 likes and 9,900 shares in 12 days. On April 12th, @sunshinesmileso uploaded the most popular video as of April 19th with 801,300 likes and 20,900 shares in a week (shown below, center). On April 17th, @thejacksonjansen uploaded another notable version with gained 391,600 likes and 24,600 shares in two days (shown below, right).
