A new phenomena is taking place where Facebook users are creating fake events of mainstream bands performing at local businesses such as gas stations, restaurants and dental offices.

One of the first notable events was Limp Bizkit playing at a Sunoco station in Dayton, OH. Because Limp Bizkit is known for odd publicity stunts, many people were tricked into believing it was a real event, and showed up at the Sunoco station, even after Limp Bizkit tried to refute the rumor on their official Twitter.

Since then most people realize the events are hoaxes, but join the event pages to keep the joke alive.
