Granny Melon Trend or Russian Granny Watermelon Videos refers to a TikTok trend where users upload videos of a pile of melons from the Granny video game series falling out of a closet onto the titular character and characters from other games, including Slender Man and Baldi. The trend was popularized in late August and early September 2023 by TikTokers @angryfloppa and @d0mii0 and is set to the song "Brawl Stars (PUNYASO Trap & Dubstep Remix)."

Origin

On August 27th, 2023, TikToker^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4] @angryfloppa posted a series of four videos of the video game Granny set to "Brawl Stars (PUNYASO Trap & Dubstep Remix)"^[5] where a pile of melons fall from a closet, the first video gaining over 258,000 views and the third gaining over 700,000 views in a week (shown below, left and right). These are the earliest known granny melon videos.

On September 3rd, 2023, TikToker^[6]^[7] @d0mii0 posted two videos following the same format, the first featuring Baldi and Granny dancing, garnering over 1.4 million and 1.7 million views respectively in three days (shown below, left and right).
