The poster of the meme in the crosspost, now deleted, submitted a post to the /r/okbuddyretard subreddit on August 19 2018 titled "father is in prison ;(( I have to deal with libtard mom for next 7 years. i need help!!! !!! !!!! ! !"[4]. It gained over 1,200 upvotes and 45 comments, being 98% upvoted. Now archived, this post is believed to be one of the earliest instances of the meme.
