Holy Shit Amnesia What The Fuck?, stylized "Holy shit, Amnesia WHAT THE FUUUCK," is a viral video of YouTuber Dildobitch and friends playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent shortly after the game's release. The video features Dildobitch playing the game while chatting on a call with his friends, who are also playing the game. During particularly scary moments, Dildobitch has intense reactions of horror and delivers several memorable quotes, leading his friends to laugh at him. The video has been widely shared and inspired animations in the decade since its release.

Origin

In 2010, shortly after the release of Amnesia: The Dark Descent, YouTuber Dildobitch uploaded a video featuring himself and friends playing the game on a call. The video was removed for spam by YouTube,^[1] but was reuploaded on December 30th, 2010 by YouTuber Sean Benghiat with the title "Holy shit, Amnesia WHAT THE FUUUCK," gaining over 1.2 million views in ten years (shown below).

While the video features several humorous quotes and freakouts, the most memorable would prove to be a moment where one of Dildobitch's friends happily announces, "Oh shit, I have a bag of Milky Ways!" right before Dildobitch encounters a monster and erupts in terrified screams (clip shown below).

In the years following the video's release, it would gain notoriety within the Amnesia fandom, with the "Milky Ways" quote inspiring fan art and image macros (examples shown below). It also inspired multiple reposts on Reddit.^[2][3][4]

On January 7th, 2011, YouTuber MetroDX uploaded a musical remix of the original video, gaining over 54,000 views in ten years (shown below, left). On May 12th, 2011, YouTuber Really Random Guy posted a video in which he pitched up all the voices in the video to make them sound like chipmunks, gaining over 14,000 views (shown below, right).
