Honse
About
Honse refers to a nickname given to several images of horses photoshopped to have grotesque proportions. The term has grown popular on Tumblr and Reddit.
Origin
On August 9th, 2019, Tumblr user static-testament[1] responded the word "H O N S E" to a post featuring a horse photoshopped to have a gigantic torso. The post gained over 118,000 notes overall (shown below).
Spread
On August 12th, 2019, the thread was reposted to /r/tumblr[2] by user wessiekun, gaining over 2,600 points. The image inspired some fan art as well.[5][6]
Over the following months, the term "Honse" was applied to numerous photoshops of horses. For example, on January 21st, 2020, Redditor fuckprada labeled a photoshopped horse "Honse" in /r/funny,[3] gaining over 200 points (shown below, left). On April 26th, user Mc-MeepMeep posted a Honse edit to /r/battleshops[4] (shown below, right).
