How I Met Everyone I've Slept With or How I Met My BSF List is a trend on TikTok where users list the ways they met either all of the people they've slept with, dated or their best friends. The trend started in June 2022 with the "everyone I slept with" variant becoming the most viral throughout July. Videos following the trend became the subject of parodies on TikTok and criticism on Twitter late that month.

Origin

It is unknown when exactly the trend started. On June 13th, 2022, TikToker[1] @tahlia.xstuart posted a video where she shares how she met everyone on her "bsf list," meaning "best friends list," gaining over 830,000 views in two months (shown below). This is one of the earliest known videos following the trend.

The trend became increasingly popularized under the same original sound over the following month, inspiring new variations. For example, on July 26th, TikToker[2] @victoriaparis posted a version of the trend listing how she met everyone she's ever dated, gaining over 1.6 million views in six days (shown below, left). On July 27th, several TikTokers uploaded videos listing how they met everyone they've slept with, including TikToker[3] @alexupanddown, gaining over 500,000 views in five days (shown below, right).

TikTokers continued to post videos like this over the following weeks. On July 29th, 2022, TikToker[4] @narutolady posted a video following the trend, gaining over 1.3 million views in three days (shown below, left). On July 30th, TikToker[5] @pooranthusa posted a version of the trend, gaining over 1.7 million views in two days (shown below, right).

On July 30th, Twitter[6] user @evilgirlcock posted a screenshot of a TikTok following the trend where the person claims to have met six people on "4chan," writing, "I rather die a virgin than be this person," gaining over 190,000 likes and 10,000 retweets in two days (shown below). As the trend continued to go viral, some TikTokers made parodies of the videos. For example on July 31st, TikToker[7] @apeload posted a video with ironic answers to the question, gaining over 325,000 views in under 24 hours.
