About

Hyadain (Japanese: ヒャダイン) is the pseudonym of Japanese musician and composer Kenichi Maeyamada. Under this name he has posted a number of covers/remixes of video game songs onto Youtube and Nico Nico Douga, where they have been popular. His covers often feature a variety of distinct voices, including that of a high pitched girl, all performed by Hyadain himself with the use of a digital voice modifier.

Origin

Kenichi Maeyamada was already a composer before he started posting his remixes online, working primarily in writing anime theme tunes and J-Pop singles, with his first big break arriving in the form of writing the lyrics for "Don't Go Baby", the OP for Initial D: Fourth Stage. He has since went on to write music for such noticeable animes as One Piece and Baka to Test to Shokanju.

On the 13th December 2007, Kenichi secretly posted his first video game remix to Nico Nico Douga under the name of Hyadain, a lyrical cover of Crash Man's theme from Mega Man 2 aout Crash Man coming on to Mega Man, with references to Yaranaika [1].

Noticeable Videos

Hyadain recently composed and sung all the OP's and ED's for the anime Nichijou, one of which, Hyadain's O-O-O-One-sided Love-C has also become memetic in it's own right, as well as one of the most prominent examples of Anime Opening Parodies
