On August 31st, 2025, YouTuber^[1] AverageArchive uploaded an edit of an Average Harry stream where he challenges himself to drink a bucket of beer with a fork. He eventually starts using a spoon, and then gives up altogether, saying, "I'm not doing this, I've just realized I don't have to." The video gained over 14,000 views in eight months.

On November 20th, TikToker^[2] @butcanyouslowdown posted an edit based on the stream setting the stream to music and adding a few reaction memes after he announces he isn't doing it, the description reading, "the way he realised he has free will💔," garnering over 22 million views in five months.

The original sound for @butcanyouslowdown's meme was used over 14,000 times in the next five months as TikTokers used it in lip-dub memes. As a meme, the song is lip-synced under a caption about realizing you don't have to do something.

On February 6th, 2026, TikToker^[3] @miloeatsbut posted a meme using the sound under the caption, "Me after realising that it's okay to be average in school," gaining over 1.9 million views in two months.
