Indonesian Boat Racing Kid or Kid Aura Farming On Boat refers to a series of memes based on several viral videos of kids dancing, posing and essentially conducting rowers while standing on the front of Indonesian racing boats during Pacu Jalur, an annual racing event. Memes using clips of the kids, some taken from the @lensa.rams TikTok page, went viral on TikTok and Instagram Reels in June 2025, with many examples set to the song "Young Black & Rich" by Melly Mike. The videos inspired memes in which TikTokers mirror the moves done by the kids on the boats, with one kid wearing an all-black outfit becoming the particular subject of memes. Many of the memes suggest that the dancing kids are aura farming.

Origin

Pacu Jalur is an annual boat race in Indonesia that has been practiced since the 17th century.^[1] Racing boats tend to have a kid dancing on the bow of the boat, both to entertain and to direct the rowers.

On January 10th, 2025, TikToker^[2] @lensa.rams posted a video of a kid dancing at the front of a boat in a black outfit, garnering over 78,000 views in five months.

In June 2025, memes using clips from Pacu Jalur races started going viral on Instagram Reels and TikTok as the subject of edits and memes.

One of the earliest examples was posted by Instagram^[3] user sheluvgoodnightdaylight on June 21st, 2025, garnering over 260,000 views in nine days.

On June 22nd, 2025, Instagram^[4] user mythicalreel.scroll posted an edit of the same kid dancing on the boat set to the song "Young Black & Rich" by Melly Mike, garnering over 6 million views and 260,000 likes in eight days.

On June 26th, Instagram^[5] user nevultius posted a meme in which he mimics the moves of the kid on the boat, garnering over 1.1 million likes in four days.

On June 27th, 2025, TikToker^[6] @shaialxndrr posted an edit compiling several clips of kids dancing on racing boats, garnering over 6 million views in three days. On the same day, TikToker^[7] @foxstar829 posted a meme about the videos, garnering over 5.6 million views in the same span of time.
