On June 3rd, 2019, Samir Hussein published a photograph of Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump looking out a window of Buckingham Palace (shown below).[1]

That day, people online people began captioning the image with various mocking comparisons. On Twitter, [2] New Yorker TV critic Emilly Nussbaum captioned it "Flowers in the Attic," referencing a gothic horror novel about a brother-sister romance. The tweet received more than 22,000 likes and 2,500 retweets (shown below, left). Throughout the day, others compared the image to various horror properties, such as The Shining and The Omen (shown below, center and right, respectively).
