John Interview refers to memes and jokes on the subreddit /r/notinteresting about a bald man with a mustache wearing a black-and-white checkered shirt named "John" going to a job interview. Redditor /u/COKE-SLURPEE originally posted the selfie to the subreddit /r/beards in June 2025, with several Redditors commenting on his striking blue eyes and unnerving gaze. In early July 2025, photos of "John Interview" came to be edited and used as inspiration for a series of AI-generated memes in which people riffed on jokes about him going for a job interview.

On June 9th, 2025, Redditor /u/COKE-SLURPEE posted a selfie to the subreddit /r/beards,[1] writing, "Starting over, learned not to trim front of my beard down otherwise it quickly turns into a neck beard." The selfie showed him bald with a mustache, staring into the camera in his bathroom. The post gathered over 220 upvotes and 40 comments in 20 days.
