Karen complains about her experience at IHOP | /r/FuckYouKaren

5 days ago NEW Dine in | Breakfast | $30-50 Someone spit in my coffee... Usually I have a good experience at IHOP. This time was my last time at this location. Me and my family went in to eat breakfast, the waitress there was kind and everything went smoothly until I got my coffee. While halfway through my coffee I slurped up a loogie and I immediately spit all my coffee into the napkin. I started to feel sick to my stomach. I told everyone at the table that I think someone spit in my coffee. I have absolutely no idea why. I said almost nothing to anyone the entire time we were there. My partner suggested that I tell the waitress and manager about it but I was really hesitant because I was afraid of coming off as a "Karen". I decided to follow through with it and told the waitress about it and she got the manager for me. The manager seemed ready for a fight before she got to the table and immediately told me that she has known her staff for years and none of them would ever do something like that. I just told her it was fine and I just wanted to check and to leave. She did offer another new coffee but I turned down her offer. I just wanted to get out of there. I'm never going to this location again and really hope that all those who read this reconsider. Food: 1/5 | Service: 1/5 | Atmosphere: 1/5

Hi I wanted to discuss further about the lady that came in today and complained about her mobile order. I feel like I was respectful towards her when she was being disrespectful about her drink being wrong but she escalated the problem. She asked for my name and when I didn't give it to her she pulled out her phone and either took a picture of me or recorded me. H I hate this and I don't think it's funny. I am now in the least-liked demographic of all-time. Attitude or not, the regard from others is often dismissive. My husband is naturally a more congenial kind of personality, however, even at my best, I often receive far less than he does in situations dealing with services or the public. Level om Contributor 12 reviews 25) 11 attraction reviews 283 helpful votes "Very Steep and Too High" OOOOO Reviewed 19 October 2014 After going up Mount Snowdon by train in Wales I'd forgotten just how high some mountains can get. And they don't come much higher than this one - that's for sure. LOL! This was almost a FULL day's climbing and my girlfriend was crying at one point. When we did get to the top there was nothing there (Mount Snowdon has a pub, restaurant and toilets at its top). Luckily we had brought some sandwiches and drinks, so anyone else climbing this one - BE WARNED- there are NO facilities at the top. The climb basically went on for far too long and the last part was particularly steep and difficult. It was also cloudy at the top so the view was non-existant. The long walk back down was boring and again took too long. It was a great relief to get back to our B&B in Fort William for a hot soapy bath and the joys of a flushing toilet with soft toilet rolls. This attraction is free but I honestly couldn't imagine anyone - and I mean anyone - paying to climb this. Visited September 2014 Was this review helpful?
