Lady Gaga and Joe Biden Couple Picture is an image macro series featuring a screenshot from a sexual assault public service announcement video in which they appeared. The photo features Lady Gaga sitting to the left of President-elect Joe Biden, with her hands on his shoulder and bicep. The image went viral on Twitter in January 2021 as many joked that the pair looked like a romantic couple speaking to a child or step-child.

Origin

On October 26th, 2017, Lady Gaga tweeted a video PSA featuring herself and Joe Biden as part of an awareness campaign about sexual violence. The post received more than 2.8 million views, 31,000 likes and 12,000 retweets in less than four years (shown below).

On January 14th, 2021, the verified Twitter^[1] account for the entertainment newspaper Variety shared the photo in a tweet about Joe Biden's inauguration. The post received more than 36,000 like and 7,000 retweets in less than one week (shown below).

On January 18th, 2021, Twitter^[2] user @MhairiMcF shared the screenshot with the caption, "The fact is your father & I are together and it’s about time you got used to it." The p[ost received more than 238,000 likes and 17,000 retweets in less than 24 hours (shown below, left).

Following the post, others posted the image with captions that joked about a romantic relationship between Lady Gaga and Biden. For example, Twitter^[3] user @bethbourdon tweeted a screenshot from the video, with the caption, "your stepmother believes it’s time you make it on your own and i agree." The tweet received more than 233,000 likes and 17,000 retweets in less than two days (shown below, center). Twitter^[4] account @americanamemes tweeted the imag with the caption "What every couple in Beverly Hills looks like" (shown below, right).
