Le mur jaune ("The yellow wall" in french), is the begining of a repost's series in the channel #humouretchosesmarrantes (humor and funny thing) from the Zerator's discord (french streamer)

Origins

It all started in 2022 when the Kenichi Ohno photographer took a photo of a little egret for a Japanese photography contest and named it "The Gap".
The photo was then posted on reddit or Internet users struggled to understand its meaning and wondered if it had not been generated by artificial intelligence or retouched.
it will take two years for it to be posted on zerator’s discord and people transform it in all directions

Lore

On October 29th, 2024, when it was first posted on ZeratoR's discord, some people were obviously confused and needed an annotated picture, so somebody sent the annotated version from the french media Neozone.
But it lead people to add unsolicited annotations to the same picture, again and again for one day straight.
After that,It will be necessary to wait until November 16th for it to surface again, this time the text leaving its original image to go and graft itself into other images just posted.

From that moment on, the joke began to grow and was used more and more in the following week.
This caused a fight between different members of the server and some showed their dissatisfaction by GIFs, featuring King Arthur, from the kaamelott french series, getting angry at his subjects.
The "yellow waller", as they were now called, counterattacked by integrating King Arthur batteling against the yellow wall in some of the meme.

Ultimately, the yellow-wall meme comes down to two simple things :

1. adding nonsense annotations to another meme posted in the channel
2. finding ways to introduce the yellow wall into real memes, making it a common reference for the community of the discord server.
