Licypriya Kangujam is a 11-year-old child climate activist from India. She is sometimes called Indian Greta Thunberg due to the number of high profile speeches she has delivered regarding climate change at various international conferences, including the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2019 (COP25) in Madrid, Spain. In 2021, Kangujam came under scrutiny after news reports about several of her honors and awards being fake emerged, and her father Kangujam Karnajit, also known as K.K. Singh, went absconding on charges of duping various youth charity organizations of several lakh rupees.
