YouTuber^[1] The Pixar Nerd posted a video of the teaser on June 20th, 2025, gathering over 90,000 views in six weeks.

The teaser was in promotion of the 2025 Disney Pixar film Hoppers, which follows a scientist as she inserts her mind into a lifelike robotic beaver in order to uncover the mysteries of the animal kingdom. A trailer for the film was released on YouTube^[7] on July 16th, 2025, gathering over 6 million views in two weeks. The film is set to release on March 6th, 2026.

The TikTok^[2] page @igreenscreenthings posted a greenscreen version of the Lizard on July 27th, 2025, gathering over 260,000 plays and 14,000 likes in two days.

Several internet users used the aforementioned template to post humorous videos, as seen in a July 28th, 2025 TikTok^[3] posted by @victoria.somero that reads, "my husband to my buttcheeks when I'm already overstimulated AF." The post gathered over 2 million plays and 200,000 likes in a day.
