About
Me In Public / My Earphones refers to a series of tweets which use two pictures, one an intimidating image of French rapper JNR with photoshopped air pods in his ears, representing "me in public," and the other a screenshot of an upbeat, feminine pop song.
Origin
The image of JNR comes from the French prank show, Le Pire Stagiare, or "The Worst Intern," hosted by comedian Greg Guillotin. In an episode posted to YouTube on June 29th, 2020, Guillotin pranks rapper JNR by pretending to be an intern while displaying contemptible behavior. The video has been viewed over 11 million times on YouTube.
