About
Mr. Lucky is a track from the 1980 LP album "Sunny Jim" (also from the 1985 music CD album "Topsy Turvy") from De Wolfe Music.[1] It was composed by Karl Jenkins, and performed by Take Six. In the 21st century, the song became a popular track for usage in gaming replay videos and memes.
Origin
The tune was first posted on YouTube on October 20th, 2012 by TiHKAL MooN DWeLLeR[2] as the first track of a fictitious audio cassette titled "Sounds for the Supermarket", which was supposedly released in 1975. The tune (shown below) has over 1.7 million views.
Below is a description of the fictitious "Sounds for the Supermarket" audio cassette.
It was also uploaded to YouTube under the fictitious title "At The Mall" by the fictitious band "Plus Crier" under the fictitious record label "Sleepyhead"[2][5]. This is what was used as the music title for several TikTok videos.

The first known use of the tune was in the early development stages of the indie game "Garbage Day".
The song was also discovered to be the background music for a Nintendo employee training video from 1991 (shown below). The video, uploaded to YouTube by Randy Cornetta on February 3rd, 2009, has over 2.9 Million views[4].
On September 1st, 2022, YouTube user Greg Lou posted a remix using the song with the Project Pat song Chickenhead. The remix (shown below) received over 566,000 views in over five months.
The tune was also ported to the Super NES for the Super Mario World rom hack "YUMP 2".
