On March 3rd, 2019, TikTok user @mouse331 uploaded a video in which they say "My middle name? It's Koi. Ike Koi Todoroki. It reminds me of a fish. They're so calming!" (shown below). The video gained over 61,700 likes and 15,300 shares in a month.

Spread

The original sound by @mouse331 has been used in over 4,500 posts and additional sounds have been created using the phrasal template. The original TikTok video's top comment "some people need to be bullied" has gained over 8,600 likes in five weeks (shown below). The video has been led to many users mocking the video or bullying @mouse331. On March 4th, TikTok user @kay$ uploaded a duet with @mouse331's video in which she pretends they are the "weird girl in class that never shuts up" (shown below, right). The video has gained 13,300 likes in a month.

March 27th, @adam tyler uploaded a parody of the video which garnered 132,100 likes in several weeks (shown below, left). The next day, @joeyb333 used the sound to create an ironic contortion video which accumulated 24,100 likes several weeks (shown below, right).
