Neji and Taeyeon comparisons are memes comparing K-Pop girl group Girls' Generation leader Kim Tae-yeon and Naruto character Hyuga Neji. The meme, created by user memes4all_haha, was not intended to be offensive, nor did it condone any means to insult the well-respected songstress. Created in 2020, the creator of the meme had previously mentioned that she was both an anime and a K-Pop fan and that K-Pop is not to be disrespected. As a result, the user decided to create something about the two fields and chose her two favourites: Hyuga Neji of the Naruto manga and anime franchise, and Taeyeon, the leader of South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. However, this was also seen as a comparison of the two, especially by those who thought the two to look similar.

The meme was uploaded by KnowYourMeme user memes4all_haha, who found an image of Kim Tae-yeon online and also found a similar-looking screenshotted icon of Hyuga Neji. A day later, she uploaded a meme in which the two's respective facial expressions were compared, and said to be "drastically alike in both the stark appearance and how the two respectively act". The resemblance, according to another user, was so uncanny it was scary. Hearing this, she uploaded more memes that followed a similar principle.
