About

Okay, Get In is a quote from SpongeBob Squarepants paired with an image of SpongeBob and Patrick standing in front of an open casket. The image has been used in various meme formats to make a point about something unpopular, with the poster implying that said thing needs to die.

Origin

On October 2nd, 1999, the SpongeBob Squarepants episode "Squidward the Unfriendly Ghost" premiered in the United States.[1] In the episode, Spongebob and Patrick believe they have killed Squidward and are being haunted by his ghost because his body was never put to rest. Squidward attempts to use this knowledge to his advantage, but is soon accosted by the pair as they devise a plan to help his "ghost" move on. At one point, the pair presents Squidward with an open casket and instructs him to get in (shown below).
