About
Lingvistov[1] is an online Illustration & Gift shop which was founded by two friends in Russia, Asya, and Landysh. Both graduates from Linguistic University. The two first created Lingvistov as a school of English via Skype[2] in 2012, which still exists today. However, they had an extreme fondness for illustration art, cartoons, comics, memes, and brilliant English humor. Thus, they started making Lingvistov doodles. (Lingvistov doodles are unique drawings created by Landysh, and they usually contain a funny joke or a well-known saying.)
Online History
It can't be determined precisely what the earliest presence of Landysh's illustrations was, however, the publishing site Bustle[3] did write an article on July 1st, 2015. Landysh became popular due to her funny drawings and posts about cats, sleep, food, relationships etc. Taking examples from people’s everyday lives and making it more amusing. Her drawing style is clean, based on lines and contrasting colors. She has a cat named Augustus that she describes as her muse and many of her works are based on life with him.
