About

Supreme Patty is the online handle of vlogger Patrick Wallace, who gained much online notoriety for posting short prank videos on Instagram and other social media platforms.

History

On August 29th, 2013, the @supremepatty^[1] Instagram feed was launched. The first picture posted to the channel was a photograph of Wallace as a child with his sister, along with the caption "Throwback Thursday" (shown below).^[2] Within four years, the post gained over 16,200 likes.

In March 2017, Wallace posted a video of himself drinking out of a water pipe.^[4] In the coming months, Wallace began posting additional videos of himself drinking bong water, smoking snack foods through his nose and performing prank in public.

YouTube Channel

On July 14th, 2017, Wallace uploaded a music video for the track "Watchin" to his Supreme Patty TV YouTube channel (shown below, left). Within one year, the video accumulated 1.3 million views and 1,100 comments. On January 27th, 2018, a vlog titled "Supreme Patty TV: First Time Out of the Country! (Fixed my teeth)" was uploaded to the channel, garnering more than 825,000 views and 400 comments within six months.

Crash Video

On July 30th, 2018, the @supremepatty Instagram feed posted a video in which Wallace appears to be seated with blood on his face in a wrecked automobile (shown below, left). That day, YouTuber DomisLive NEWS uploaded a video discussing the car crash video (shown below, right).

Reputation

On September 17th, 2017, a photograph of Wallace was submitted to the /r/hittableFaces^[4] subreddit (shown below).

On January 20th, 2018, Mashable^[3] published an article about Wallace titled "Supreme Patty: The obnoxious Instagram star who smokes hot sauce for likes." On June 18th, Redditor noahnierenberg submitted a post asking "Who is Supreme Patty and why is he popular?" to /r/OutOfTheLoop,^[5] to which Redditor MHall08 responded that he was an "Instragram personality" who "does outrageously dumb and insane things to gain attention." On June 20th, YouTuber Muske uploaded a compilation of Wallace's Instagram videos (shown below). Within five weeks, the video accumulated upwards of 400,000 views and 380 comments.
