Overview
Tube Girl is a nickname given to Sabrina Bahsoon, a TikToker who went viral in August 2023 for dancing on the London Tube to various songs, including a remix of the songs "Yummy" by Ayesha Erotica and "Righteous" by Mo Beats, deemed the "tube girl song" or "first lady of Juicy Couture" song by some. Bahsoon started posting on TikTok in 2020 and went viral with her first Tube dance video in August 2023, gaining further virality with each following Tube dance and inspiring memes, edits and the "tube girl trend" or "tube girl effect" where girls dance in public like Bahsoon. Some TikTokers praised her confidence and began documenting themselves trying to gain a similar level of confidence by dancing and lip dubbing to "Righteous x Yummy" in public settings.
Online History
Sabrina Bahsoon started posting content to her Instagram[1] page, sabrinabahsoon, on April 2nd, 2016. On April 29th, 2020, she posted her first lip dub video to TikTok,[2] garnering roughly 10,000 views in three years. She continued to post content to TikTok[3][4] throughout the 2020s, with some popular examples including a November 29th, 2022 video that gained over 1.7 million views in a year and an August 11th, 2023 upload that gained over 800,000 views in a month (shown below, right).

Tube Girl Dance Videos
On August 13th, Bahsoon posted her first "tube girl" video to TikTok,[5] where she lip dubs and dances to the song "Where Them Girls At" on the London Tube under the caption, "Being the friend who lives on the other side of the city so you gotta hype yourself up during the commute," garnering over 6.3 million views in a month (shown below).

Bahsoon continued to upload dance videos taken on the Tube to great success over the following weeks. On August 24th, she uploaded a video to TikTok[6] that gained over 6.7 million views in three weeks, using the hashtag "#tubegirl" for the first time. On August 26th, she uploaded a version of the dance to TikTok[7] set to "Greedy" by Tate Mcrae that gained over 8.4 million views in the same span of time (shown below, left). On September 5th, she uploaded a dance video to TikTok[8] set to a remix of "Righteous" and "Yummy" that gained over 11 million views in 10 days (shown below, right).

On the same day, Bahsoon uploaded a video to TikTok[9] dancing outside the Tube with a caption acknowledging comments admiring her confidence, garnering over 5.3 million views in 10 days (shown below, left). On September 9th, she posted a video to TikTok[10] answering a question about whether or not it's awkward after she films the videos, garnering over 11 million views in six days (shown below, right).

On September 9th, 2023, TikToker[11] @jiayuejenny posted the first video in a series of videos where she dances and lip dubs to the "Yummy x Righteous" remix on the subway in an attempt to gain confidence and "slay" the song "like Tube Girl," garnering over 9 million views in a week (shown below, left). On September 10th she posted the second part to TikTok,[12] garnering over 4 million views in five days (shown below, right).

On September 13th she posted the third part of the series to TikTok,[13] garnering over 3 million views in two days (shown below). On September 14th, musical artist Tate Mcrae, whose song Bahsoon occasionally dances to, posted a video to TikTok[14] referencing Tube Girl, garnering over 1.1 million views in a day.
