Piqué LOL was a popular video meme which involves Spanish La Liga footballer Gerard Piqué and was created by popular Youtuber KSIOlajidebt [KSI-Ola-jee-day-b-t] in one of his 'Fifa Funnies' videos of the series.

Origin

The original joke featured in the Fifa Funnies video "Benzema Gets Bullied" and is presented through a couple of glitches where Piqué in-game knees footballer Karim Benzema (Who is also a La Liga footballer who plays for rivals Real Madrid) to the ground to electronic music and then shouting "LOL!" while a screencapture of his face as if he were saying it appears on screen. This continues as Piqué then trips Benzema in-game and says it again (In KSI's voice). This can be seen in the video below after 33 seconds.

Spread

As well as this, the joke appears again, yet this time in a video taken from Youtuber Fifizlo where French Bundesliga footballer Franck Ribéry seemingly dances at kickoff to the song Metrion by Miqz feat. Veela and this video was used by KSIOlajidebt but with the Piqué LOL in sync with the song's familiar motif.

After this, the joke gained more popularity to the extent a Quickmeme page was created for the joke. It's used as a kind of 'no words' image macro, as if all one could say about what is typed on the top line is LOL which is typed on the bottom line. For example "Chelsea won the champions league? / LOL" (Which is the popular joke from KSIOlajidebt's remix of the Franck Ribéry video.
