On March 13th, 2026, the Hulu and KinoCheck YouTube^[1][2] channels uploaded the first trailer for the stoner comedy movie Pizza Movie, starring Gaten Matarazzo, who famously played Dustin Henderson in Stranger Things.

On March 15th, Instagram^[3] user onetwothreefourfries posted a meme consisting of a screenshot of the two thumbnails with the overlayed caption, "IM GOOD BRO😂😂🤦‍♂️," garnering over 53,500 likes in three weeks.

On March 31st, 2026, X^[4] user @BeansGoodTakes quoted a now-deleted post sharing the meme, writing, "this image alone has killed any chance for this movie to be talked about positively and its just crazy," garnering over 30,000 likes in a week.

That day, X^[5] user @uppturnedd commented on the post with an edit that reads, "ITS GOOD BRO," garnering over 800 likes in the same span of time.

On April 1st, 2026, Instagram^[6] user blackgreninja1 shared the original image, gaining over 2,300 likes in a week. On April 3rd, the day of the film's release, the same Instagram^[7] user posted the "IT'S GOOD BRO" version of the meme to over 6,800 likes in five days.

That same day, X^[8] user @uppturnedd made a post claiming that Hulu used their meme in an Instagram^[9] reel, garnering over 3,500 likes in five days. The post appears to be fake, with no video available on the Hulu Instagram page uploaded that day or before that day that uses the meme in a video advertising Pizza Movie.

On April 6th, The Hollywood Reporter^[10] published an article titled, "Gaten Matarazzo’s ‘Pizza Movie’ Directors Respond to 'I’m Good Bro' Meme Mocking Film’s Marketing." Director Brian McElhaney is quoted as saying about the meme:

"Once it started turning to ‘It’s good bro!’ we felt much better. We honestly think it might have helped build more awareness than anything, so we’ll see, I guess… Ask us again in a month."

Also on April 6th, 2026, X^[11] user @mancakefort posted an image of the scene from Pizza Movie featured in the meme, next to a version of the meme reading "I LIKE DICK BRO," garnering over 3,300 likes in two days.
